Recognised Training Centre specialising in online training.
Internet Access - 6 months to complete your course with optional extension period of £30.
Previous Experience Required: None. Basic Safety & Navigation would be useful.
Certification: At the end of successful completion of the course students are awarded with an RYA Day Skipper theory course certificate.
Course Overview: This course equips you with enough knowledge to navigate around familiar waters by day. A basic knowledge of lights is also included to introduce you to night cruising.

The RYA Day Skipper theory course is designed for those of you who have little or no experience of the theory side of helming a sailing yacht or motor boating. During the course you will cover the basics of inshore and coastal navigation. Including pilotage, chartwork, position fixing, plotting a course to steer, weather forecasting, a knowledge of tides and the International Regulations for Prevention of Collision at Sea.
